The Linguistic Processor for the Romanian language — a national and international premiere — has the purpose of controlling the Romanian language from a phonetic, morphologic, syntactic, structural and semantic point of view. The application in itself is a complex tool for the linguistic analysis (phonetic, morphologic, syntactic, structural, stylistic, and semantic) provided with specific statistic functions for each type of processing. This project evolved as a result of the research performed and the experience achieved by IASSID in the field of computational linguistics and software technology into the Multilingual Linguistic Processor project.

Starting from these technological grounds and trying to solve the problem of multilingual information access and management, IASSID initiated, projected — and partially implemented — the eCOGITO project. The Linguistic Processor and eCOGITO will provide access to multilingual information in electronic formats and from any location, offering a superior decision base to the public administration, to companies but also to any interested person.
In 2004, IASSID launched eCOGITO Translation solution, a software platform for automated translation, with possibility of personalizing linguistic resources (vocabulary, dictionaries, grammatical rules) according to the client’s field of activity. The translation solution supposes the creation of a personalized project according to the client’s needs, the company’s field of activity and specific activities.
