The eCOGITO Project – The Platform for the multilingual information management, launched by IASSID in 2000, will provide access to information in electronic formats and from any location, offering a superior decision base to the public administration, to companies but also to any interested person.

The project is the result of the scientific success achieved in the development of the Linguistic Processor for the Romanian language, a complex software tool designed for linguistic analysis: phonetic, morphologic, syntactic, structural, stylistic and semantic. This tool, unique in Romania, makes Romanian one of the few electronically assisted languages, thus surpassing the linguistic barriers and facilitating the access to the export and import of information with other cultures.

COLLABORATION
The elaboration of analysis–programming technologies has been based on theories and theoretical models obtained as a result of the institute’s policy to contact and collaborate with specialists, research institutes and universities on the matter of algorithms, formal languages, computational linguistics and logic, cybernetics, psychology, law and economics.

Among IASSID’s most valuable collaborations are those with the Romanian Academy, the Institute of Theoretical Informatics and the National Agency of Science, Technology and Innovation.

IASSID has been a member of the Commission for the Informatization of the Romanian Language of the Romanian Academy since its set up in 2001.
